OpenTable & KAYAK is seeking a dynamic EMEA Payroll Specialist to join us in the EMEA Finance Team, based in London. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key supporting role across our team. You are detailed, highly organised with hands-on payroll administration and processing experience. You have an eagerness to improve processes and execute, and excel both working independently and collaborating with colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of our EMEA payrolls through the use of Cloudpay and/or management of payroll service providers.
  • Raising risks, issues and discrepancies in good time and work to find resolutions.
  • Ensure all payroll related payments (e.g. payroll taxes, fringe benefits, stock-based compensation, global mobility) is processed and reported and pension contributions for the various company schemes is uploaded within deadlines.
  • Respond to employees questions via an internal ticketing system and that these are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, whilst ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
  • Collaborating with other departments such as HR and Accounting, to ensure that the end to end payroll process is accurate.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to support the development of payroll process improvements, integrations and automations, assist on queries from internal stakeholders and collaborate on ad hoc projects.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and audits

About you:

  • Professional payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) and/or professional accounting qualification.
  • International payroll processing experience for the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania and Switzerland is required, with several years of proven ability to deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, whilst meeting compliance requirements.
  • Experience in processing EMEA stock payroll, RSU and Stock options as well as benefits and pension administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll and related HR/Accounting systems; Cloudpay, Netsuite and WorkDay is preferred and proficient in Excel ( VLOOKUP’s , Pivot Tables)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally at all levels within the organisation.
  • Solution focused and hands-on approach, with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple tasks in order to meet conflicting timelines.
  • Proactive attitude, flagging issues and inefficiencies and challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a process improvement mindset, whilst looking to develop their career further.
