About the Role

We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Associate to partner with cross-functional teams as we launch new products and build upon our leading presence within financial automation. This role will directly influence Ramp’s long-term growth trajectory, and your work will be highly visible to the Executive team / other senior leaders within the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the finance leader on large-scale initiatives, providing strategic oversight and analytical horsepower
  • Use data to influence and inform key strategic and product decisions
  • Conduct detailed industry and competitive analyses (e.g. 10-K, equity research reports); be (or become) Ramp’s leading expert on market trends and competitive products
  • Lead planning analyses for cross-functional teams and evaluate organizational tradeoffs
  • Identify and develop KPIs; build dashboard to monitor success and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Build and then own detailed financial and operational models, ensuring highest quality and accuracy

What You Need

  • Extreme attention to detail with a high regard for precision
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
  • Proven expertise with Excel / Microsoft Office suite 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to develop and manage financial models independently
  • Track record of developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external partners

Nice to Haves

  • Prior Finance, Operations, or Capital Markets experience within a high-growth technology startup
  • Proven expertise with SQL and/or Python (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience launching new products, from ideation to post-launch operations
