The Job 

Our global recruiting team is seeking an innovative and strategic, insight driven leader to drive our operations, workforce planning, systems, analytics and project management teams. As a leader of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring we build a world class experience for recruiters, candidates and our business using technology, innovation and operational prowess. 

This position has been created to catapult our Airbnb Recruiting Team to the next level. We are a design and human lead company and want our Recruiting team to represent that in everything that we do. 

  • Lead a team of three Managers and an indirect team of ~30. Mentor, motivate and drive excellence amongst the team vertices.
  • Oversee and drive strategy and implementation for:  
    • Analytics - Tableau Dashboards, QBRs, forming insights based on data, supply and demand for the recruiting team 
    • Workforce Planning - Drive a global project through a small project team to further enhance the way we plan and manage headcount at Airbnb
    • Operations / Project Management - Simplify and optimise the operations around offer approvals, contracts,  core value programmes, referrals, diversity, knowledge management etc.
    • Training & Development - Drive centralised continuous training and onboarding program for the recruiting team.  
    • Coordination - Manage capacity of the coordination team, drive for efficiency and ensure they have the tools needed to meet the interviewing needs of the business
    • Systems - Continuously update, review and assess the systems we use making sure that they still effectively serve our needs
    • Employer Brand - Drive employer brand strategy, with emphasis on increasing top of funnel, defining our employee value proposition, defining key candidate touch points and measuring the results.
  • Create, with the team, and upkeep Tableau dashboards that track our time to hire, time to fill, days in role, offer accepts etc.
  • Run our supply and demand model in partnership with the head of recruiting, ensuring that the recruiting team always has the capacity to meet the organisational needs 
  • Generate insight-based ideas and solutions that will drive efficiency and excellence across the recruiting organisation
  • Partner with the recruiting leadership team to inform, diagnose and improve how we recruit
  • Proactively seek out ways to simplify processes and look for opportunities to leverage technology to scale
  • Manage capacity of the team to meet business objectives
  • In partnership with the recruiting leadership team, drive and manage goal setting, operational planning processes and regular business reviews, develop and implement key performance indicators, policies and procedures to achieve organisational goals
  • Ensure compliance across all of our operations

  • Someone who has “grown up” in Recruiting, with a deep understanding of the recruiting lifecycle and process and how to best optimise it for efficiency and quality
  • Adept in data analysis specifically using Tableau, have advanced analytical skills to provide insights to leadership and identify trends
  • A capable and confident communicator with the ability to partner and influence at all levels, have polished presentation and narrative development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional groups, including external vendors
  • Able to do more with less, embrace creativity, think outside the box
  • Positive, with a sense of humour and a genuine passion for building a world class recruiting team that stands above others. 

The Pay

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 230,000 and USD 285,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
