The Data Platform team at BetterUp is building the operating system for Human Transformation - the intelligence which allows us to understand our users and ultimately for them to better understand themselves. We are just getting started and you will have the unique opportunity to shape our growth and direction. 

As a GPM you will be a key leader in our data initiative. You will be responsible for your group's strategy and for managing a team of product managers. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, deep stakeholder engagement, squad management and execution. 

We are looking for an individual with a strong data background, a proven ability to navigate the ambiguity and learning curve of data transformations, a history as an inspirational leader as well as a love for psychology/human development. 

What you’ll do:

  • You will be responsible for critical components of our Data Platform strategy, distilled to a clear strategy + POV. 
  • You will build and manage a team of PMs - enabling both them and the squads they lead. 
  • You will have a deep understanding of customer needs, trade offs, business value, etc and will use this to drive prioritization. 
  • You will be an advocate for data and seamlessly translate deeply technical initiatives to business value. 
  • You will influence stakeholders across the org as we adopt a new paradigm powered by data. 
  • You will help us build trust flywheels as best-in-class privacy and security is critical to our efforts. 
  • You will be a critical member of the data leadership team and own initiatives at the executive level. 

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 8+ years of experience delivering successful, scalable data driven enterprise SaaS products
  • 3-4 years of people management experience, seen as an inspirational leader
  • Specific hands on experience with data products and platforms
  • Confident with both high level strategy and running tactical meetings with your squads
  • Excel at structured, systems thinking
  • Listen and build consensus but also drive hard decisions and lead teams
  • Ability to influence a range of stakeholders both with and without direct authority
  • Love for understanding people, passionate about unlocking greater purpose, potential and passion
