The Opportunity

We’re looking for someone who is excited to join a team where they can proactively identify and implement systems and process improvements to help grow and scale the business. In this high impact role, you will work closely with executives and internal functions including Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Deal Desk, Business Systems, Finance and Accounting, and HR to improve and establish processes and systems for our next stage of growth.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Palo Alto for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager, Sales Compensation will support the company's rapidly growing global sales organization through high impact leadership, operational execution, process innovation, and strong stakeholder management. You will own the administration of incentive compensation programs end to end, including calculating sales commission and posting sales commission accruals, authoring policy, designing the plan letters, defining systems requirements, resolving cases, conducting training, and maintaining SOX-compliant controls.

  • Manage the monthly commission calculation and accrual process for our direct and indirect sales teams ensuring timely and accurate payment on a monthly basis
  • Manage compensation plan setup, administration and efficient delivery leveraging Xactly compensation system
  • Authors and enforces policies and procedures aligned with business objectives and ensure best practices and SOX compliance are met, maintaining up to date documentation with latest compensation rules and guidelines
  • Lead and improve the global compensation process by creating and driving scalable repeatable processes leveraging Salesforce, Xactly, NetSuite, SuccessFactors, Tableau, Excel, and the Google Suite
  • Contribute analysis/insights and other intelligence essentials to help evolve our sales compensation plan designs, policies, resourcing and investment decisions
  • Involved in organizational roadmap, hiring budget, vendor contracts negotiations, sales compensation and analytics strategy of the company
  • Recognized as an influential leader, interacts internally and externally with senior management, requiring negotiation of critical matters
  • Manage ZenDesk commissions cases queue ensuring SLAs are met

Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years of people management experience
  • Expertise on compensation plan administration, with an ability to identify areas of improvement
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership, with an ability to effectively collaborate with business partners and proactively communicate across locations
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in a management role in Finance, Operations, Business Development, or other related fields
  • Strong project management skills to move projects/tasks forward
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and B2B & B2C channel structures
  • A track record of strong SOX-compliant business-process design, enhancement, and maintenance
  • Proven experience with systems/tools utilized for sales operations processes such as Salesforce, Excel, Xactly, Tableau, SuccessFactors, GoogleSuite
