Are you a senior sales professional looking for an opportunity to be a part of a brand new, fast-growing arm of the Mid Market sales segment? Then look no further! Asana is launching its first free to paid outbound team, and we’re looking for Mid Market Hunter reps who are eager to get their hands on these untouched accounts. As a member of this brand new sales team, you will be instrumental in landing net-new business with medium and large organizations. The right person leverages strong business acumen, a value selling framework, and thrives in an ambiguous, pilot-style environment. This role offers the opportunity to land sizable accounts, while also paving the way for this new arm of the business.

This role is remote by design - we believe that collaboration and trust are accelerated through shared experiences, face-to-face communication, and ad-hoc discovery, both with our own team and with our customers. Field roles are customer-facing positions that prioritize in-person collaboration with customers, which enables us to deliver value faster. For this remote field role, candidates are preferred to live within Pacific Standard Time.   

What you’ll achieve

  • Navigate mid-sized and large organizations to map stakeholders, generate pipeline, build champions, get buy-in and close deals with C-Level, VP-level, and Director-level decision makers.
  • Define account strategies that enable sales velocity in partnership with Sales Engineers, Sales Development Reps, Customer Success Managers, Professional Services and Exec Sponsors.
  • Build the instincts to recognize and overcome organizational, financial and behavioral structures and obstacles.
  • Pilot and help define sales playbooks for this new sales motion.

About you: 

  • 4-7+ years of experience in a b2b closing sales role (previous SaaS and/or experience in an outbound business development role is a plus).
  • Full cycle experience required; from prospecting to generating and closing complex sales deployments within net-new customer accounts. 
  • Experience using an outbound sales tech stack (, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Looker, or similar).
  • Ability to prioritize sales cycles of varying lengths and depths, and convey a clear position on the opportunities you have with each account.
  • Passion for being with customers and telling their stories. 
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in ambiguity. 
  • Prioritize operational rigor. 
  • A forward thinker that has the ability to build and advise on a new sales motion.
  • Ability to travel periodically to visit customers as needed
