We are seeking a proven, experienced Area Vice President focused on managing a team of Account Managers. This role will drive strategic direction for our Enterprise and Mid Market customers, guide the client throughout the customer journey and build meaningful relationships to maintain and grow our accounts. In the AVP role, we look for someone to lead by example and exemplify our values and inspire a team of highly driven account managers to impress themselves on a daily basis. We support teamwork, collaboration, and creating a winning spirit across the team that elevates performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Working alongside Account Managers by supporting deal strategy and client meeting preparation to ensure pipeline coverage, retention, and growth of existing Partners.
  • Consistent development of Account Management team by leading and modeling best practices for managing the customer journey.
  • Accountable to measuring weekly pipeline development and GRR.
  • Monitoring sales activity of the team, tracking results, and leading weekly forecast and pipeline review meetings.
  • Communicating and establishing expectations for weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals.
  • Mentoring and development of the Account Management  team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new Account Managers on the Post Sales process.
  • “Model the Way” - leading by example by demonstrating the proper steps to work through the BetterUp relationship management process.
  • Reporting on sales activity, pipeline development, and forecast to the Account Management leadership team.
  • Aligning and establishing strong cross-functional partnership  with BetterUp's Customer Success, Deployment, and People Insights teams.
  • Serving as an escalation point for direct reports on all deals.
  • Embodying BetterUp values by demonstrating extreme ownership, leading with empathy in all customer interactions, and adhering to best practices
  • Guide team on portfolio management and account prioritization, with emphasis on building long-term partnerships.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 5+ years of relationship management and quota-carrying experience combined with a proven track record of success in a similar enterprise environment. 
  • 2+ years of people management with a track record of values-based leadership and building high impact, high integrity teams 
  • Recent experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles with Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Proven success of working within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Values/behaviors necessary: Bias towards action, bring out the best in people, care for each person (collaboration, leadership), and extreme ownership
